WYP Meeting Online Berlin, Germany  –  Topic: Patience!

On Friday 1st of May, we got together again online for another German WYP meeting. This time the topic was patience. We started with a brief introduction to the topic, showing that patience is needed in many daily situations. Patience is more than a feeling, it is attitude and conviction to act with serenity. It is strength.
After that, we shared some texts and quotes of the master builders which have to deal with patience. Everyone picked the quote that most called their attention and shared their impressions.

Two of the quotes were mentioned by various participants:
“Without patience, we will learn less in life. We will see less. We will feel less. We will hear less. Ironically, rush and more usually mean less.” –
Mother Teresa.
“To lose patience is to lose the battle.” – Mahatma Gandhi

We learned that patience is necessary to see clearly, that impatience makes us lose our senses and the view of the reality. Furthermore, being patient means to keep fighting the good struggle. It is rooted in our spirit. Patience is not only “homemade” – we have to be open to receive patience as a present. Patience is a virtue.

After the exchange, everyone was invited to participate in a small WYP in Art session and share something creative that they’ve made or share an impression from these past weeks. The participants shared their daily life activities, stories and poems. One presented a parabol about the role of weakness which is in reality strength. One shared that she founded a book club and presented a book, others shared as well a song and a picture. It was edifying to see how everyone is able to make the best out of this difficult time.

At the end we announced and encouraged everybody to participate in the WYP contest. https://en.wyparliament.org/wyp-in-art-2020-contest-eng/
